This project is an intimate journey about my self discovery through my whakapapa.
Tūhura was born through curiosity; of me questioning what I knew of my whakapapa and wanting to have a deeper understanding of who I am.
Tūhura aims to be a doorway for encouraging Māori designers to embrace their whakapapa - to allow their heritage to influence their work and for them to have the pride to express it.
