What happens to cultural knowledge when the land where it derived is inhabitable due to climate change? As a designer and a citizen of a country that will welcome climate refugees in coming decades, my project Sacred Spaces aims to facilitate the transmission of cultural knowledge to future generations by creating a digital space for stories and knowledge that is accessible for current and future Pacific communities within New Zealand.
