The Activist Typeface is an introduction to a continued study about New Zealand Typographic History and vernacular. This project first started as an exploration into themes of cultural identity in New Zealand. Looking at what aspects of New Zealand heritage hold attributes of Solidarity, Unity, and Mana. The Activist Typeface is a display typeface made in reflection of protest and typographic vernacular in New Zealand. It's inspired by protest signage, posters, and ephemera.
