Bachelor of Design
When They Lived is a historical illustration book depicting the lives of Ah Lum, Suzanne Aubert and Georgina Beyer. This project made me explore what inspired my love for history as a kid. I looked at potential ways to encourage children in schools to enjoy and think critically when learning about our history. As Horrible Histories was my favourite book series, I was curious to see if an adapted style would work for New Zealand History.
