Bachelor of Design with Honours
Cutting-In is an interior textile design collection that encourages awareness and discussion around endangered plant species. With an continually growing human population, ever increasing urbanisation and agriculture is resulting in habitat loss; posing a threat to plant biodiversity. Through hand painted techniques combining imagery of plants and mechanical components, the designs portray the removal of land by machines that is slowly demolishing our biodiversity.
