This project proposes the reintroduction of biodiverse experiences into an urban working and living environment with a biophilic design agenda. The historic Te Aro swamp is reintroduced as an ecological intervention situated in a dormant carpark. Moments of connection between visitors and the wetland are encouraged through a walking experience integrated with built features that are responsive to the wetland while functional as areas for rest, shelter, gathering and observation.
