This research investigates representations of off-world colonisation within science fiction games, that often propagate popularised and uncritical attitudes towards how communities and institutions engage in the practice of colonisation. The works use cutaway renders of a series of vehicle designs within original IP, ‘Sand Tides’ to explore the spatial practices associated with these vehicles, as an exploration of how the public contextualises possible futures and anticipates potential problems for human colonisation off-world.
