Bachelor of Design with Honours
This project aims to show the potential for sustainable material innovation within Aotearoa. Localism was a key ethos involved in the design development and manufacturing of this product. Designing with local capabilities, local materials and local expertise is an effective way to reduce carbon emissions and promote design innovation that correlates with Aotearoa’s environmental concerns, aesthetic, and values. Here we can see the harakeke composite applied to light design.
