Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
Originating from a fascination with humankind’s motivation for attaining paradise and the paradox of Utopia, my collages explore the artificial concepts of ‘nature’ and paradise, employing the uncanny characteristics of digitally rendered images and stock content. I reference compositional and thematic aspects of paradisiacal narratives in classical painting, in conjunction with the ironies and absurdities of western culture in our technologically saturated society.
