Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours
My artwork depicts fictitious landscapes in response to memory and emotion, with a specific interest in how memory relates to self-identity. I look at how land mirrors human sentiments, by painting emotive clouds and heightened mountainscapes. Through painting, I capture how we remember places, fragmented and clouded. I paint psychological landscapes opposed to real places, however, they are drawn from my memories of New Zealand scenery.
