Mater. Mary. Venus. explores the relationship between the female body and its depiction within art drawing on the Impressionist movement and the revolution women are causing within the art industry. The collection uses traditionally female crafts such as sewing and embroidery to distort the perspective of the female body. The use of sheer layers explores the juxtaposition of both hiding away and revealing the female form.
