Distorted Body Survival is a response to the ambivalent relationship I hold with Ballet. Ballet as an aesthetic has cultivated a certain body type, one that is a distorted fabrication from the natural feminine form. This collection takes the notions of traditional ballet attire and distorts these away from the idealised Ballet form through a mixture of 3D form and Fabric manipulation to express the distorted and unrealistic feminine form Ballet has manufactured.
