‘The Laboratory’ is a collection that explores my fascination with drag. My work aims to re-idolize the idea of gender, a construction that has been saturated and continuously trained over time. By deconstructing gender identity it examines the notion of the absence of a primary base for gender identity. The silhouettes challenge gender perceptions, with the use of personification, performance and transformation.
